Biography
Ludwig began his stage career in Brandenburg, in 1864, and went on to work in posts in Görlitz, Breslau, Braunschweig, Dresden and St. Petersburg, among others. In 1872 he secured an engagement with the Court Theatre in Berlin, an engagement which was transformed into a lifelong position. Ludwig acted mostly in character roles and heroic parts.
